Suyamoon Pathak

I am an AI engineer in Los Angeles. I finished an M.Tech in Computer Science at IIT Kanpur in 2026, advised by Dr. Ashutosh Modi. The thesis is on legal argumentation mining. Before that I did a B.Tech at PDEU and an online B.Sc. in Programming and Data Science from IIT Madras.

I am authorized to work in the United States and do not need sponsorship. Recent work is a hybrid retrieval system at Cortekz and a short stint with the AI Markets team at HSBC. Both roles ended in September 2026.

The research I want to keep doing sits between language, argument structure, and the systems that train those models. A paper from that line is in the ACL Anthology from SemEval-2025.
